I have tried VCD compatibility with two VCD's downloaded from VCDHelp on the 10:th of July 2002:
I have tested these on the Denver DVD-176 and as far as I can tell everything on the VCD's works as it should!
A friend of mine has bought the "Official VCDHelp.com PAL/NTSC Demo Video-CD" (PAL version, v1.0.1), and have helped me to test the DVD-176 with that. Here are the results of these tests:
