A friend of mine bought Queen's "A Night at the Opera" on DVD-Audio disc, and I borrowed it to test if it worked in the Denver DVD-176 player.
This DVD is actually both a DVD-Video and a DVD-Audio disc, so it can be played in any DVD-player. But it is not certain that the DVD-player can play the DVD-Audio part of the DVD. In that case it will play the 5.1 DTS/Dolby Digital track that is on the DVD-Video part of the disc.
The disc has the following format:
DVD-Audio | 96 kHz/24 bit 6-channel |
DVD-Video | 5.1 DTS and Dolby Digital NTSC |
As it turned out, the DVD-176 player only played the DVD-Video part of the DVD. I did not find any way to access the DVD-Audio part.
