Screenshots

Here I have dumped a number of screenshots from the NorthQ 7100 in different situations.

This is what shows up when you start the NorthQ 7000/7100. It takes about 17 seconds from power on until it is ready to use.
If there is no hard-disk installed in the player, this is what's displayed after about 12 seconds after power on.
If you press "SETUP" on the remote control, you get to the top menu of the player. From version 1.12 of the firmware, the firmware version is also shown here (upper right). Here you make one of the following choices:
bullet PLAY DVD: Plays DVD.
bullet SmartNAVI: Browse and play the media files on HD or CD/DVD.
bullet Live Video: Watch TV.
bullet Setup Menu: Change the settings in the player.
bullet Time Record: Manage timer recordings.
If you try to use SmartNavi without a harddisk installed, you will get this screen.
The same thing will happens if you try to watch TV without a hard-disk installed.

A bit strange, but I think that this have to do with the fact that when you watch TV from the NorthQ, it starts recording the TV-signal to the HD. Then it shows you what has been recorded to the hard-disk. This means that you are always about two seconds after "live-TV" when you watch TV!

This is the NorthQ 7000/7100 background logo.
Here is a screenshot of the SmartNAVI menu right after I installed a Samsung 120GB hard-disk.
I pressed "OSD", which brings up this menu. The I scrolled to "Properties" and pressed "ENTER".
This shows how much space that is available on the disk. I think that the used space is what's reserved for the timeshift function. I have it set to 120 minutes in XP quality here (this was only possible to do in v1.10 of the firmware. Now it is max 60 minutes).
Here is  preview of the SmartNAVI menu when I have recorded some stuff. The filenames are originally in the form YYMMDD-HHMM. You can however change this as I have done with "Alias".

The recording that is presently selected is previewed in a small window to the right, the sound is also played. You can also see the length of the recording above the window.
