I have tried to play DVD-RAM discs in my NorthQ 7100. The player was not able to play the DVD-RAM disc I have tried. The DVD I did the test with had a movie on it which was ripped from a bought DVD-Video and burned on the DVD-RAM media with my LG GSA-4040B DVD-burner using Nero. The DVD had a bit rate of about 8-8.5Mbit/s.
I have tried the following DVD-RAM media in my NorthQ 7100:

I did not think that the NorthQ would be able to play DVD-RAM media, and I was right. It is not that common that DVD-players can play DVD-RAM media.
