Kodak Picture CD compatibility

For more information about what a Kodak Picture CD is, read this article from Kodak.

Basically, a Kodak Picture CD is nothing but a CD with a bunch of JPEG images on, in the following format:

Scanned from Image resolution on CD
35 mm film 1536 x 1024 pixels
APS film 1536 x 854 pixels

Of course there are a lot of other things on the Kodak Picture CD, such as imaging editing software, image viewer and so on.

This is what you get when you insert a Kodak Picture CD in the NorthQ 7100 player.

Directly after this screen, the DVD-player starts displaying the pictures stored on the CD. So there is no need to go via the SmartNAVI menu, as you have to if you burn JPEG pictures on a CD yourself!

Kodak Picture CD's plays without any problems on the NorthQ 7100 player!

The problem with Kodak Picture CD's is that the pictures may be stored on the CD upside down or rotated in some way. But you can use the "Left" and "Right" buttons on the remote control to rotate the pictures. The player remembers these rotations for every picture until the CD is ejected or the power is turned off.
