CVD compatibility

For more information about what an CVD is, read this or this article from DVDRhelp.

To test CVD compatibility of the NorthQ 7100, I have made an CVD myself with two short movies in the following formats:

Both clips has 352x576 resolution. The bitrates are:
bullet 352x576, VBR 1200/1900/2520kbit/s, 44.1kHz audio (224kbit/s)
bullet 352x576, VBR 1200/1900/2520kbit/s, 48kHz audio (224kbit/s)

As far as I could tell, the NorthQ played both movies without any problems! The only odd thing is that the NorthQ stopped playing about four seconds before the end of the clip. So I never got to see the last four seconds of the clips. I don't know what's causing this.

The CVD had the same problem with PBC as the VCD/XVCD/SVCD and XSVCD had. It seems that the NorthQ always disables PBC before staring to play a CVD disc. You have to manually enable it by pressing the "PBC" button on the remote control to get the menus working.

And as there is no "Return" (or "Back") key defined, there is no way to get back to the menu once you have chosen a clip to play! If there had been a "Return" key on the remote control, this would not have been a problem.
