Here is a list of features that the documentation states about both the United 3155. The features marked with (***) is not certain that all 3155 supports. If there is no text on the box or on the player that says that it supports these formats, there are no way of knowing if a specific 3155 supports these features just by looking at the DVD-player. You have to test to be sure!

A lot of text, in which some things are stated multiple times ;-) Basically it says that the 3155 is a pretty standard DVD-player. Some of them can play VCD/SVCD's, and others can't! However, it's a pretty competent player in my opinion!
