Overview

The EuroLine 6652 looks very different from the EuroLine 6650/United 3155. But on the inside, these two players have almost exactly the same hardware (if you compare the 6652 with the EuroLine 6650 that has VCD/SVCD capabilities).

The EuroLine 6652 can play the following formats:

Even though there is nothing mentioned about the 6652 being able to play VCD/SVCD, I have never heard about a 6652 that cannot play VCD/SVCD. So hopefully there is only one "version" of this player available.

The 6652 has a built-in DolbyDigital decoder, unlike the 6632. In the tests I have made, it seems that the 6652 also has a built-in DTS decoder, but this confuses me a bit as it doesn't say so anywhere in the manual or on the box. But when I play a DVD with DTS audio, I get sound on all 6 analog outputs on the back of the player.

The 6652 is also able to downmix both DD and DTS to 2 channel stereo that can be listened to via the analog audio outputs on the back of the player.

If you want this player without built-in DolbyDigital decoder, the EuroLine 6632 are the way to go. The 6632 are very similair to the 6652, but without a built-in DolbyDigital decoder. However, the 6652 and the 6632 have slightly different Video Processor chips, and I don't know which one that produces the best image quality.
