PCB (Printed Circuit Board)

This section was added to explain how to populate the new PCB that we made for the ButtonBox2/MiniBox.

This is a picture of the new PCB we have made. In this picture no components are mounted yet, so it can be used to build either the ButtonBox2 or the MiniBox.

To see which components that has to be mounted, click on the name of the card you want to build in the left frame (under the PCB heading).

As an added service I have arranged that professionally made boards for the ButtonBox2/MiniBox now can be purchased direct from Acetronics in Australia for a reasonable price. So if you are interested in buying a professionally made PCB like the one on the picture above, please goto Acetronics website and click click on the mail button to enquire about price and delivery.

Acetronics makes both the ButtonBox2/MiniBox CPU PCB, the Direct-card PCB and the 64-button Matrix-card PCB.

Please note that I am not involved in setting the price of the PCB's that Acetronics sells, and I do not get any royalty when they sell any of these PCB's. They contacted me and asked if they could make and sell these PCB's, and I said that it is OK with me.

I have not yet seen how the PCB's they make looks like, but I assume that they look pretty much the same as the one above.

If you would rather like to order PCB's from somewhere else (or make them yourself), the neccesary Gerber-files to do this are in the Download section.
